In Conversation with Jacinta Tynan
Do you have a penchant for all things vintage and enjoy trawling through clothes at your local flea market, yet find it overwhelming to style these gems with your overflowing wardrobe at home? Join two of Sydney’s chicest women, Kelly Doust and Jacinta Tynan for an evening of fashion, fabric and style as they discuss Kelly’s latest book, Minxy Vintage.
This free event will give you tips on how to breathe new style into vintage and retro clothes, how to find the best vintage pieces and how you can customise them for an entirely modern look. The night will cover everything from the publishing process to their musings on the notion of ‘style’.

Author talk at Shearer’s Bookstore

Kelly Doust will be talking fashion, craft and all things vintage with her new book, Minxy Vintage. Get frocked up for an evening of fun and frivolity, and bring along any vintage treasures for Kelly’s advice on how to transform them into wearable, chic items for today. Champagne will be served.

Vintage clothing restoration workshops at Love Vintage
Kelly will share her hints, tips and creative ideas for restoring all vintage clothing at these free workshops. Come along for advice on how to fix or customise preloved and damaged pieces, giving them a new lease of life for many years to come. These are fun, easy and environmentally-friendly skills for even the least crafty. Feel free to bring along an item or two for specific advice on restoration – after this workshop you’ll never look at those less-than-perfect vintage finds the same way again.
