POSSIBILITIES textile art basket bowl from The Keeper's House, Etsy

Next skill to learn: basket weaving. I’m loving this bowl by Etsy store, The Keeper’s House. It also strikes me as an excellent way to use up any small, excess scraps of fabric, wrapping them around an inner coil of pliant bamboo or plastic.

Clever fruit bowl

I love that basket. Now I want to make one to add some texture to my living room.

  3. I have made these gorgeous baskets and even run workshops teaching others the technique. It is great fun and you are limited purely by imagination as to what you can use to make them including plastic bags, rosemary, plant fronds. The list is endless. It is such an old tradition that I would love to see more people aware of. They are a little addictive once you start and they make great presents!
