Ageless style

Ageless beauty
So it’s a few months old but my thoughts keep returning to July’s UK Vogue; the annual Ageless Style issue. I’ve perused it several times now and decided it’s my inspiration for the year ahead.
Firstly, the fashion is right up my alley; a mix of vintage, luxe and jewel-rich hues with lots of customisation (beading, feathers and sequins = love) and a bit of bohemian thrown in for good measure. Secondly, the features are upbeat & inspired. But the best thing by far is the range of women – from teens to 80 year-olds – photographed and interviewed about their unique style. Comfortable in their own skin, I can’t see too much evidence of the surgeon’s knife on any of them. What a relief… I’m bored senseless by the sheer conformity of fake anything right now.
Show me some lines; evidence of a life well-lived, wisdom written on the face, the strength to age with grace and a sense of adventure & passion in the way we dress – that’s true beauty.
